Job Summary:
Schedules all in-center and home care Personal Care Aids (PCA) to ensure Participant care activities are aligned with their plan of care.
Schedule:
Standard operating hours are 8:00 am - 4:30 pm; Monday-Friday. Please note work hours may fluctuate depending on the Participant and business needs, flexibility is required.
Duties/Responsibilities:

• Scheduling of in-center and home care PCAs for shifts, and work assignments.
• Maybe back up for the Direct Care Coordinator in IDT Meetings.
• Will complete the master schedule, center assignments, and home care schedules.
• Will Monitor schedules to ensure participants services are being completed.
• Complete necessary documentation in the EMR.
• Responsible for communicating to all PCAs their schedules and assignments.
• Responsible for reviewing electronic timesheets and verifying all PCA payroll, mileage, and expense reimbursements.
• Participate in on-going training/education as directed.
• Maybe back up for the appropriate assessments in the home to assess for participants resources, safety, functionality and living environment.
• Responsible for training for all the Center's logs: washer/dryer cleaning, shower temperature, shower cleaning, clinic cleaning, and oxygen concentrators.
• Will assist with completion competencies for PCA's
• Participate in on-going Quality Initiative training as directed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Relates well with people of all ages but has a deep sensitivity and commitment to the elderly.
• Ability to organize work and follow through on assigned tasks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Must be able to deal tactfully and patiently with personnel, Participants, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public.
• Must have the cognitive ability to process and perform tasks for Participant safety.
• CPR and First Aid Certification. (Training Provided)
• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year of experience working with the frail and elderly population and at least one year of prior supervisory experience.
• Must possess a valid PA driver's license, vehicle, and clean driving record.
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with geriatric patients and handle unusual interpersonal situations.

Requirements:

• Requires valid State driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Successful completion of background check, physical, drug screening, TB Screening

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move a minimum of 25 pounds.
• Must be able to assist with the evacuation of Participants.

Employment Requirements: Successful completion of Pennsylvania Criminal History Check, PA DHS Child Abuse Clearance, Office of Inspector General check, and FBI Fingerprinting for Child Protective Services Law (at employer's expense). Successful completion of post-offer employment drug screening and physical (at employer's expense). CPR and First Aid Certification, or willing to obtain at employer's expense. Individuals must have one year of prior experience caring for the frail elderly or willing to complete Company paid training to meet this requirement.
This position has full access to Participant, program, and staff records and reports, requiring discretion to protect individuals and the program.
