The Director, Digital Business Development role will develop and launch experience, product assortment and features/partnerships across a new line of business for Lowe's Digital. The role is responsible for designing engagements that drive onsite top of funnel & event customer satisfaction, customer retention and frequency, conversion rate and sales for Lowes.com. (S)he leads a team responsible for the development of digital commerce strategies supporting enterprise and online-centric events on Lowes.com for DIY and Pro customers. This role is charged with the creation and implementation of reengagement and non-product content tactics for the Lowes.com channel across all digital touchpoints by partnering with Technology, DACI, Merchandising and Marketing to innovate new methods of creating and highlighting non-product content on Lowes.com to motivate customers and build affinity with our target demographics so that they view our digital properties as a primary destination for home improvement.
What You Will Do:
• Leads a team of Managers and Analysts that will leverage customer data and emerging research, as well as competitive benchmarking, to identify areas necessary to invest toward launching a new line of business for the DIY consumer site
•Collaborates with a wide cabinet of cross-functional teams and external partners to create and seamlessly deploy experience, product assortment and features/partnerships aimed at the assigned new line of business.
•Develops the engagement strategy to optimize digital commerce on Lowes.com for DIY and Pro customers in partnership with Technology, Marketing, and Merchandising senior leaders
•Develops and maintains engagement calendar ensuring organizational awareness & support
•Plans digital merchandising tactics that maximize site real estate
•Partners with aligned Digital Product and DACI Analytics team to deliver new technologies, tactics and tooling to deliver against consumer engagement goals
•Partners with cross functional partners in Finance, Pricing & Promotions, Supply Chain and others to design enterprise-led and online-only events across all digital/omni touchpoints
•Develops strategic plans for non-product content teams to develop a catalog of engaging merchandising content that will educate, motivate and inspire digital customers toward starting and finishing their home improvement projects, and deploy these shoppable content libraries across the Lowes.com digital ecosystem
•Analyzes performance against assigned objectives to maximize sales, margin, retention/engagement and conversion to inform future digital and/or omnichannel strategies
•Builds, develops, and leads a team of highly skilled and engaged team with a focus on clear and consistent communication around company objectives, responsibilities, and expectations
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, marketing, finance or related field or equivalent years of experience
• 10 Years Experience in brand or product management; merchandising, and/or ecommerce
• 6 Years Experience directly or indirectly leading a team
Preferred Qualifications:
•Master's Degree
•7 Years Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
•7 Years Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills
