Renold Morristown is currently hiring for 1st ShiftDip Tank Operator.
Job Summary
The Dip Tank Operator will move various Materials, including Finished Chains & Components from the Assembly Lines & Sub-Assembly Presses through the preservation process preparing them for shipment. This will require the Operation of the Overhead Crane to dip pallets of Finished Chain & Bins of loose Components in rust preventative. Move pallets/bins to drain & stretch wrapping finished chains. Stock Confirmations of finished production orders in SAP & Labelling of finished products also required, then movement/final staging of finished product for pickup in shipping department. The position will work within defined protocols and procedures while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Role Responsibilities
- Operates overhead crane to transfer material
- Operates Industrial Powered Fork Truck to load, unload, and transfer material
- Follows applicable procedures for the processing of materials in ERP system and through the receiving system and label materials accordingly
- Add rust preventative as needed to Dip Tank
- Maintain equipment and area
- Operate stretch wrap machine
- Work with EC assembly and shipping associates
Skills & Experience Required
- Ability to identify safety hazards and work in a safety sensitive environment
- Ability to accurately follow procedures with minimal direction
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail necessary in a warehouse environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to work effectively in team situations as well as independently
- Overhead crane experience preferred
- Ability to operate industrial powered forklift
Other Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience with inventory management systems and MRP; SAP strongly preferred
- Great attendance
- Ability to use computers daily in an interactive manner for extended periods of time
- Ability to sit or stand for an extended period
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Work overtime as required (extended shifts or weekends)
- Support and comply with the company's safety and environmental procedures
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
