Gleneagles Country Club is looking for Fine Dining Servers to join our team. We have Full Time and Part Time positions available!
General Purpose of the Position:
Provide entrees in a timely and efficient manner while having a “member first” attitude while demonstrating teamwork with the rest of the service team. Will provide a welcoming and professional demeanor to our membership that will inspire them to return time and time again.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Shows up in full, clean and pressed uniform at least 5 minutes prior to each scheduled shift.
- Able to work in a very fast paced environment.
- Is familiar with floor plan, station assignments, all table numbers and position points in order to serve meals in an orderly manner.
- Ensure all glassware, silverware, china and linen is clean, polished and organized.
- Is available on the floor throughout the shift for any special member needs or wants.
- Always maintains a positive attitude toward fellow employees and management.
- Adheres to and demonstrates all service timings and proper methods of serving meals set forth by the F&B department.
- Follows proper procedures when calling in late, or sick for scheduled shift.
- Completes all opening, closing and running side work throughout the shift.
- Leave work area organized, clean, and stocked ready for the next shift.
- Collects member card, takes food orders, repeats them back to the member, and enters them in to the POS system.
- Ensures correct account numbers and member names are on all checks.
- Must be knowledgeable of all menus, food items and ingredients in order to provide quality service. Pays particular attention to “specials”.
- Must be knowledgeable of all alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage options and to be able to describe attributes of each one.
- Must be on time for all roll call meeting and in proper uniform.
- Conform and abide by all regulations, policies, safety rules and guidelines, work procedures, and instructions.
Experience and Skills Required:
- Prior fine dining experience preferred (country club experience a plus)!
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, multi-tasking and listening skills with the ability to work well in a group environment.
- Requires proficiency in the point of sale computer system.
- Reliable and available to work various schedules including weekends and holidays
Compensation:
Hourly rate in the range of $17.00 - $20.00 per hour (commensurate with experience).
