SUMMARY: The Dining Room Server (DRS) is responsible for assisting in the cleanliness of the kitchen, Dining Room, support in serving the residents at all meals, washing dishes as need in Assisted Living and Memory Care.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • May assist cooks in the preparation of basic food items.
  • Stock, distribute and store supplies; wash and clean pots, dishes and utensils by hand or using dish washing equipment.
  • Empty trash containers as required.
  • Makes sure all dishes are picked up throughout all department of the community, Dining Room tables are cleaned after each meal and reset properly, Dining Room floor clean of food.
  • Supports in events, social and programs within the Assisted Living and Memory Care.
  • Server all meals to residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care professionally.
  • May assist cook with preparation of meals, event refreshments and making sure Bistro or coffee bar is restocked properly in Assisted Living and Memory Care.
  • Engages residents in meaningful conversation and activities related to their individual interests.
  • Adheres to all food sanitation and infection control procedures of proper food storage, handling, preparation, and service; equipment and department sanitation; and dietary regulatory guidelines for Assisted living and Memory Care communities, as required by federal and state health department standards and codes. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and has experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Food Handler’s Permit or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire, if required per state.
  • Available to work weekend coverage and available on-call as needed.
