Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems sector is seeking an Advanced Measurement Technician 1to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in Palmdale, CA, where technology and teamwork come together. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Manufacturing organization, working collaboratively while promoting a positive and proactive teamwork environment.
The selected candidate will be required to support manufacturing environment covering multiple programs, and support tooling and production requirements needed at suppliers and/or customers. Candidate will be required to use highly sophisticated computer aided metrology equipment that will require learning multiple software applications. Candidate must be familiar with common Microsoft applications, Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc. Should be able to work off of high ladders and portable platforms, capable of heavy lifting, standing for long periods of time. Good communication skills and the ability to document work performed or explain job delays, with a strong desire to work efficiently while working safely. Candidate may be required to work any shift as well as overtime as necessary.
Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent and 0 years additional education and/or related experience
Must be capable of working off of high ladders and portable platforms,
Must be capable of heavy lifting (up to 35lbs.)
Must be capable of standing for long periods of time (10hr shift with appropriate breaks allotted).
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance may be required.
Preferred Qualifications:
IT training or pursuit of IT degree.
Manufacturing or Assembly experience including any type of fabrication background/experience, familiar with blueprint drawings.
Mechanical experience, Tooling experience and Aircraft Structures and Composites are desirable.
Experience with fabrication hand tools is a plus along with some experience with saws, drill, mill and lathe also being a plus.
Experience with 3d modeling software, 3d printing a plus.
Active DoD Secret or Top-Secret clearance or Ability to acquire and maintain.
