Digital Product Analyst
(Hybrid - Scottsdale Office)
Who are we looking for?
Choice Hotels, one of the world's largest lodging franchisors, has an exciting new opportunity as our Digital Product Analyst on the Digital Team. This team is the team that evolves our Guest facing desktop, mobile web, and app experiences - with the goal to build great digital experiences that help Guests plan, book, travel, and engage with Choice.
As a key member of our Digital Commerce Team, you will bring your expertise in consumer-facing desktop and mobile experiences, insights on the current and future needs of the customer, and a passion for championing these perspectives across all departments in the organization. You will use an agile, customer-centric product mindset and hands-on experience working directly with product, research, and user experience teams to bring new experiences to market. As a steward of the Choice Hotels' digital experiences, you will assist in the management of numerous eCommerce-focused initiatives that drive and support guest-facing reservation and guest experience efforts, working closely with technology, loyalty, marketing, shared services, brand management, and franchise services teams.

Your Responsibilities
Product & Business Analysis:
  • A mix between analyzing quantitative data (site analytics) and qualitative data (voice of customer insights, user research insights, etc.) and synthesizing into findings we can action on across our Digital Product portfolio.
  • Work with Product Managers, UX Designers & UX Researchers to identify areas of opportunity to improve our shopping and booking experience for our end consumers.
  • This includes analyzing site and app data, understanding the consumer journey, reviewing the voice of customer trends and insights to help inform our product roadmap and working across teams to define requirements.

Strategy Development:
  • Provide business & product decision support for the development of the broader digital strategy and analysis of specific related opportunities

Performance Monitoring
  • Supports the measurement of departmental performance against key indicators and targets to ensure success and visibility into actionable opportunities.

Business Requirements:
  • Work with product teams to assist product managers and other business teams in defining user requirements for new product features across our desktop, mobile website, and apps.

Performance Monitoring:
  • Support the measurement of business performance against key indicators and targets to ensure success against key metrics. Assist the product team with creating dashboards to help visualize key performance data.

Your Experience, Skills & Competencies
  • At least 3 years experience as a Product Analyst, business analyst, or similar role within an e-commerce and/or agile organization
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong project management and time management skills
  • Utilize data and user feedback to suggest improvements
  • Strong sense of passion for creating user-centric digital experiences
  • Must be able to plan and manage multiple projects of small to medium complexity while maintaining a sense of urgency
  • Able to make decisions in the face of ambiguity and knows when to analyze further. Can instinctively balance speed and the need to support decisions with data.
  • High degree of both business and technical acumen and curiosity
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, professionalism, and integrity
  • Ability to clearly communicate key research findings via PowerPoint and during in-person/virtual meetings. Should be strong at using charts and visuals to communicate the story behind data.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, projects, and timelines efficiently and effectively
  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels within the organization, including senior management
  • Active learner - able to enhance personal, professional, and business growth through new knowledge and experiences; pushes the organization to learn from other industries standards and practices
  • Experience with Agile/SCRUM methodologies and associated tools (e.g. Rally, Jira, Confluence, etc.)
  • Expertise in and experience with consumer-facing desktop, mobile web, and/or app experiences
  • Solid understanding of how to evaluate and measure the success of digital, e-commerce products
  • Strong ability to collaborate with user experience, design, research, and engineering teams
  • Prior experience in the travel, transportation, or hospitality industry is highly preferred

Your Team
This is an individual contributor role that will report to the Sr. Director of Product Management. You will have 1 peer teammate and collaborate with cross-functional departments on a regular basis.
Your Work Location
As our Digital Product Analyst, you will be based in our beautiful, state-of-the-art technology hub in Scottsdale, AZ.
Right now, our associates in Scottsdale, AZ are working in a hybrid environment, up to 4 days per week in the office and virtual from your home office the remaining days. We provide flexibility and encourage ongoing communication with your leadership to establish expectations about your unique needs.
