Digital Print Production Operator

As a Digital Print Production Operator, you will be responsible for job setup and printing using Digital Printers. You will be in charge of calibrating printers and color-matching projects against our client's Pantone colors / previous jobs. You will also manage the service and maintenance of the machines as needed. This includes printing on both Large format and Small format. Large format includes posters, vehicle wraps, wall murals, etc. and Small format include books, data sheets and product brochures.

Digital Print Production Operator Responsibilities:

• Responsible for operating digital commercial printers using Fiery & Onyx Command Workstation.
• Responsible for imposing / nesting files for print
• Works with Center Manager and other Production members to prioritize and manage daily job production
• Produces orders accurately, efficiently, and quickly while maintaining the highest quality standards
• Updates job status and location in MIS system
• Always runs a proof copy and compares it to the work order
• Controls waste and redos by quality-checking jobs as they are being produced
• Completes Quality Assurance documents for all printed jobs
• Maintains all Digital Printing Equipment logs
• Maintains a clean and organized work environment
• Performs all required maintenance and learns extended maintenance from the technician.
• Calibrates and manages all color devices as required to maintain color consistency.
• Monitors color consistency during all print runs and make adjustments as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned

Digital Print Production Operator Qualifications

• Digital printing experience preferred
• Ability to organize several activities and tasks concurrently.
• Ability to maximize profit through the efficient use of time and equipment
• Can perform basic bindery functions
• Familiar and comfortable with Onyx &/or Fiery Print Controller, a plus
• Graphic design skills are a plus but not necessary
• Customer service experience is a plus but not necessary
