Job Overview

As the Digital Media Buyer, you’ll be tasked to help lead the Digital Media efforts of one of THIRD EAR’s largest clients.  You’re responsible for helping to develop Digital media strategies, build and implement plans and programs that help achieve client business goals, find new ways to drive engagement with consumer audiences, and deliver growth.

The ideal candidate for this role is passionate about Digital Media and comfortable working with various teams across other media, strategy, and creative disciplines. This person brings strong activation experience with various Digital Media formats and platforms (programmatic, display, YouTube, CTV, OLV, etc.) and is comfortable with testing new tactics and features.

The Digital Media Buyer will be both an expert in Digital Media and a collaborative team member, who is adept at multi-tasking and can thrive as strategist, creative thinker, and teammate.

Job Responsibilities

  • Executing, managing, and optimizing all Digital Media campaigns and programs, particularly in the digital video and streaming audio space.
  • Handling daily campaign maintenance, including pacing and performance, as well as troubleshooting and optimization.
  • Demonstrating diligence, attention to detail, and adherence to best practices throughout the full campaign life cycle.
  • Serve as a main point of contact and Digital Media thought-leader with key marketing and creative partners to develop campaigns.
  • Supports larger analytics team in measurement and reporting initiatives to show the impact of Digital Media campaigns; exercise ability to develop insights and recommendations to inform future planning and budget optimization.
  • Manage and coach Assistant Digital Media Buyer with a focus on team collaboration, growth, and mentorship.
  • Act as a Digital Media thought leader by staying informed and communicating partner/platform changes as they rapidly evolve. Be proactive in informing the team of Digital Media trends and opportunities that directly support the client’s Digital Media strategy.

What Success Looks Like

The Digital Media Buyer is successful when they are:

  • Contributing to and growing the success of media plans, recommendations, POV’s, etc.
  • Seamless translation and execution of client communication strategies into actionable Digital Media buys
  • Notably growing skillset and responsibilities of the Assistant Digital Media Buyer so they can begin managing higher level of responsibilities.
  • Seamlessly integrating and collaborating with other agency disciplines during planning and reporting

 

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications to be in this role are:

  • Solid understanding of paid Digital Media planning and buying functions
  • Knowledge of DSP platforms and various key digital partners, particularly in the digital video and streaming audio space
  • Proven track record managing large-scale digital campaigns
  • Comfortable with data, analytics, and measurement
  • Knowledge of current trends and innovations in media, specifically digital landscape
  • 2+ years of work experience in a relevant field (advertising/media)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience across other Digital Media channels such as social, search, programmatic, etc.
