Digital Marketing Intern

Dover Publications, a division of Lakeside Book Company, is an American book publisher that specializes in reissues of books that are out of print from their original publishers. Since our founding in 1941, we've built our reputation by offering remarkable products at amazing prices. We love scouring used bookstores for rare and used books that are in need of a refresh.
Work Hours: Summer Internship - 10 weeks, beginning in June and ending in mid-August. Monday to Thursday - Six hours per day, in office 2 days per week.
Location: Remote within a commutable distance from our Garden City, NY office
Salary: $16.00 per hour
As our Marketing Intern, you will:

• Assist on social media strategy and develop engaging content for social media
• Write blog posts
• Contribute to detail page merchandising by developing designs for A+ content and Brand Storefronts on Amazon
• Create promotional assets and promotional videos to be used across multiple platforms
• Organize a digital asset library for organizational use
• Contribute to a refreshed direct-to-consumer site
• Attend meetings and contribute ideas
• Work in collaboration with team members across marketing, design, editorial, sales, and operations teams

Qualifications:

• An interest in book publishing with an eagerness to learn
• The ability and willingness to work in a team environment
• Familiarity with social media platforms and social media trends
• Experience with graphic design and video creation tools
• A knowledge of Google Workspace, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, video editing software, and design tools
