Dietary Aide/Server

Assists Cook in food preparation. Responsible for plating meals to residents according to food preferences and diet orders. Sets tables, serves meals and beverages; afterward; picks up plates etc. and carts to dishwashing room. Washes and sanitizes dishes, utensils, pots,and pans. Completes the cleaning of work area and equipment as assigned. Provides care to residents according to the standards set down by the Federal, State and Local Regulatory Agencies.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLLS AND ABILITIES:· High School Education or equivalent.

· Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

· Previous food service experience helpful.

· Possess good manners and polite approach to residents, their families, and staff.

· Ability to treat people with dignity and respect despite their physical and mental limitations.

· Possess patience and reliability and ability to work with co-workers as a team.

· Capable of working under minimal supervision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Must present a neat and clean appearance.

· Maintains confidentiality and follows “Residents Rights.”

· Sets, clears, and washes tables.

· Prepares resident’s plates according to food preference and diet.

. Serves residents and guests in a pleasant and attentive manner in the dining room.

· Assists residents at meal time with additional items or cutting up of food.

. Prepares and delivers trays to resident’s rooms on occasion.

· Performs cleaning duties and projects as assigned.

· Assists cook with preparation of meals.

. Cleans and sanitizes dishes, pots, pans, equipment, and work areas.

· Operates dish machine, noting when soaps and rinses must be replaced.

· Sweeps and mops floors.

· Daily records temperature of dish machine, and makes sure it is in good running order.

· Keeps refrigerators and freezers wiped in and out and sanitized.

· Attends and participates in education programs and in-services.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour
