Performs a variety of duties as assigned, focusing on the preparatory to feed patients, employees and visitors.
Position Responsibilities
CookResponsibilities:
- Reviews menus and work orders to determine quantities of food to be prepared
- Orders food products from storeroom
- Pre-prepares special items that require attention
- Prepares and measures proper ingredients
- Coordinates cooking schedule
- Ensures that all foods are served at proper temperature
- Coordinates proper and prompt utilization of leftovers
- Cleans work areas as assigned
- Performs related duties as requested

- Prepares and measures proper ingredients
- Cooks on grill if needed
Dietary Aide Responsibilities:
- Assembles prepared food for regular and modified diets
- Deliver and retrieve trays to patients in accordance to dietary guidelines
- Prepares minimal food or beverage for patient tray line
- Assembles all items needed for patient and cafeteria lines
- Works patient and cafeteria lines as assigned
- Reviews menus and work orders to determine quantities of food to be prepared
- Pre-prepares special items that require attention
- Attends and satisfactorily completes the mandatory education classes
- Maintains a consistent and positive customer focused attitude through a spirit of cooperation, pleasant and respectful demeanor and helpfulness to all with whom they come in contact.
Experience: 1 year cooking experience (preferably short order and buffet style)
Education: High school or equivalent preferred. Must be able to read, write and have the ability to follow written and oral directions.
