Dietary Aide/Food Service
Hours - Swing Shift7 am - 3 am or 11:30 pm - 7:30 pm - Every other weekend
Title: Dietary Aide/ Food Service
Reports To: Food Service Director/ Executive Chef/Administrator
Summary: The Dietary Aide shall perform specific tasks in the food service department as outlines by Food Service Director/ Executive Chef
Specific Duties:
1. Deliver and retrieve dishes to and from resident area
2. Set up tables for meals.
3. Process soiled trays, dishes and utensils from carts through dishwasher.
4. Return clean items to appropriate places.
5. Assist in serving food on line.
6. Wash pots, pans and other equipment as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Be able to follow written and oral instructions.
- Bed physically able to work in the kitchen environment, be on feet at least 7 hours of the shift and lift up to 30 pounds.
- Must be mature and the ability to deal effectively with the demands of the position.
- Must know regulations on Safe food handling and special diets of residents.
- Must indicate a real concern and respect for the residents.
- Must be willing to participate in on-going in-service programs, online training and staff meetings.
- Must demonstrate an attitude of cooperation and be willing to work as a team member.
- Must be familiar with policy and procedures of Sacred Heart Senior Living. (Especially regarding Fire and Health emergencies Heimlich Maneuver)
- Must maintain a valid CPR and First Aide Certification.
- Must be well groomed, free of offensive odor, dressed in clean, appropriate uniforms and display a healthy appearance at all times.
- Hair must be in hair net or tied back at all times.
- No long finger nails, no facial jewelry, no more than one ring shall be worn during working hours.
- Must be able to comply with the attendance policies of Sacred Heart Senior Living.
