Job Summary
The Dietary Aide is responsible for assisting with the preparation and delivery of food to our residents. The ideal candidate will have a passion for elder care, a strong understanding of nutrition and food service, and a commitment to providing quality care to our residents.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of food, including washing, chopping, and cooking vegetables and fruits; preparing salads; and setting up and breaking down the dining room.
- Assist with the delivery of food to residents, including setting up trays, serving food, and clearing away dishes.
- Assist with the cleaning of the kitchen and dining room, including washing dishes, sweeping and mopping floors, and taking out trash.
- Work with other dietary staff to ensure that the dietary needs of our residents are met.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in food service
- Strong understanding of nutrition and food service
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
