A DAY IN THE LIFE!You will spend your day completing both preventative and corrective maintenance. Each week you will participate in the reseat process for incoming drivers going through orientation. You will also work on scheduled PMs and driver-reported issues to diagnose and repair.
WHO ARE YOU?You are an experienced mechanic who is confident in the completion of routine preventative maintenance and basic corrective repairs. You understand the importance of completing work efficiently and safely. You believe in the values of teamwork, safety, communication, and punctuality. YOUR CORE RESPONSIBILITIES- Complete preventative maintenance on Peterbilt, Mack, and International tractors including oil changes, filter services, APU services, DOT inspections, power steering services, and other preventative maintenance.
- Corrective maintenance on heavy equipment including body panel replacement, electrical diagnosis and replacements, power steering issues, driver monitoring equipment issues, and much more!
- Diagnose issues with fleet equipment using diagnostic software.
- Utilize the maintenance software to review services due, repair history, and create repair orders.
- The ability to manage your time effectively and prioritize multiple projects in an environment with shifting deadlines.
- Extensive experience using both hand and power tools.
- Comfortability utilizing computer software for diagnostic and documentation purposes.
- The ability to work on a large team and coordinate with multiple different positions.
- Valid driver's license.
- 1+ year(s) working on heavy equipment.
- You must supply your own toolset.
- 1+ year(s) of experience within the transportation industry.
- Salary: $20-$29 per hour, decided based on experience.
- Schedule: Full-time on-site; Monday Friday, Weekend and afternoon shifts available (weekend shift includes shift differential); Overtime eligible.
