Established in 1975, Amhof Trucking is a family owned and operated carrier in Eldridge, Iowa. Diesel Technicians, fleet mechanics, experienced in preventive maintenance, diesel engines, brakes, electrical systems, tires, DOT inspections, and diagnostics and shop procedures preferred.

Current openings for ALL shifts for Diesel Technicians:

Medium and heavy-duty truck technicians

Benefits:

Ideal candidates will have previous experience as a technician, with the ability to display knowledge of diesel and gas engines, and repair procedures.

Candidates should also have a strong work ethic, exceptional attention to detail, and effective customer service skills.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday - every other Saturday

Experience:

• Auto or diesel repair: 1 year (Preferred)
• Willing to train the right candidate

Requirements:

• Driver's License (Required)
• Must have own tools

Working Conditions:

• Overtime may be necessary during peak periods.
• Heavy work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force frequently to lift, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, and 100+ lbs. on an occasional basis.
• Subject to both internal and external environmental conditions: work occurs inside and outside. Outside work may be in extreme weather conditions.
• Subject to: standing, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and reaching for sustained periods of time.
• Subject to noise: there is sufficient noise to require shouting in order to be heard above the ambient noise level.
• Subject to hazards: includes a variety of physical working conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, and exposure to chemicals.
• Subject to atmospheric conditions: one or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin: fumes, odors, dusts, mists and gases.
• Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: operate machines and motor vehicles.
• The worker is required to have visual acuity to perform an activity such as: visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eye.
