Diesel Mechanic/Compressor Mechanic/Pump Mechanic

Diesel Mechanic/Compressor Mechanic/Pump Mechanic Mission:

To facilitate growth through a strong commitment to the delivery of high-quality maintenance, repair and overhaul of portable air compressors, dewatering pumps, and generators at customer locations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Perform routine, preventive maintenance and repairs on portable air compressors and dewatering pumps in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations and traveling to customer locations.

• Perform diagnostics on malfunctioning compressors and pumps, determine possible causes, and perform repairs.

• Test and document proper operating parameters. • Provide basic tools for job along with normal maintenance of tools and equipment.

• Provide high level of customer service.

• Develop rapport with customers through effective communication, interpersonal skills, and professionalism.

• Train and assist other service technicians. • Promote and practice proper safety procedures and the correct use of personal protective equipment at all times.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education:

A High School diploma or GED is required.

Experience:

• A minimum of 2 years of technical service experience maintaining and repairing industrial equipment is required.

• 1-2 years of technical service experience maintaining and repairing compressed air equipment, dewatering pumps, diesel equipment.

• Demonstrated expertise in the maintenance, overhaul, and repair of a wide variety of portable compressors is strongly preferred.

• Experience repairing and troubleshooting Tier 4 Final diesel engines and aftertreatment systems preferred.

Skills:

• Strong mechanical and electrical skills.

• A basic level of understanding and competence with computers and associated systems (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.), business systems, distribution channels and accounting practices.

• Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.

• Excellent communication skills with a strong customer focus. • Willingness to grow within the business.

• Must maintain a valid driver’s license.

Position:

Must provide own tools. 90 day temp-to-hire Benefits 1 month after hire on date Pay $25-$35 DOE
