Diesel Mechanic

FONG Truck & Trailer Repair Service LLC is a diesel repair shop open to the public providing exemplary repair services to the Atlanta Metro Area. Our team is currently looking for an experienced physically fit candidate for the position of Diesel Mechanic. Must have skills in diagnostics and trouble shooting. This experienced individual is expected to keep our commitment to safety, quality work and customer service. In this role, the successful candidate will perform truck repair and preventative maintenance work; including brakes, diagnostics, tires, transmissions, engine replacements and much more. This is an opportunity for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to use their knowledge in a very fast paced environment. We are willing to provide training. Must be willing to learn, coachable, available to work long hours, ability to work in all elements of the weather and roadside. Driver license mandatory and clean driver record necessary. CDL license a plus but not necessary. Pay based upon skill level.

Responsibilities:

-DIAGNOSTICS & TROUBLESHOOTING

- Perform minor & major repairs on trucks & trailers

-Conduct regular preventative maintenance on service trucks, including inspections, tire rotation and oil changes

- Collaborate with repair team to diagnose problems with vehicles and repairs needed

-Perform regular diagnostic test on trucks

- Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on trucks along with parts purchased

- Test driving vehicles to gauge performance/diagnose

- Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist

- Maintaining & cleanliness of truck & proper maintenance of all tools and machinery'
