YOU
You want to be an important member of a strong team of other makers who take pride in their work and support each other. As a Die Setter you are responsible to perform die changes and assist with coil changes for the Automatics presses. This position would be ideal for someone with 1 to 3 years of entry-level industrial maintenance experience. Weekend Shift Hours are Fri-Sun 6:00AM - 6:30PM. You will receive a $2.50 shift differential for every hour worked.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (% of Time)
Perform die setups on Mechanical power presses and change over correct stamping dies in the press multiple times per day. (50%)
Assist operators with coil changes which entails loading and feeding material into machine. (15%)
Assist with troubleshooting equipment and partner with Tool and Die department to resolve any tooling issues. (15%)
Perform quality assurance inspections hourly to ensure parts accurately match drawing specifications. Use precision measuring tools to accomplish this. Fill in for operators as needed. (10%)
Perform 6S activities and maintain a clean and safe workspace at the press. (5%)
Escalate issues to appropriate personnel and enter maintenance work orders (5%)
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
If you can do everything listed above, you've got what it takes. Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Simpson Strong-Tie Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Certification (will certify at hire) required.
• Working in an industrial environment for 2 years.
• Experience operating mechanical power presses for 1 year preferred.
• Tools: able to use various hand, pneumatic, and power tools.
• Mechanical: able to perform equipment setups and light mechanical maintenance.
• Able to read part blue prints and the technical data provided.
• Writing: ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Speaking: ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees within the organization.
• Measurements: ability to read a tape measure to 1/32", to use combination squares to measure angles to +/- 1 degree, to use micrometers and digital calipers.
• Self-Starter: ability to display a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments in a timely manner.

TRAVEL REQUIRED
This job requires no domestic travel.

This full-time, non-exempt position is located in McKinney, TX
RELOCATION
Relocation is not available for this position.
PAY
$23.37 - $30.38 / hour
