Position Title: Radiographer/X-Ray Technologist

Employment Type:Full Time / Permanent Position

Shift: 7:00am - 7:00pm (Monday - Thursday) OR (Friday - Sunday)

Salary Range:$20 - $30 per hour (Shift Differential Included)

Sign On Bonus:$5,000

Relocation Assistance:Available

Location: Pensacola, FL


Postion Summary:

As a Radiographer/X-Ray Technologist, you will play a crucial role in the healthcare team by operating X-Ray equipment to obtain diagnostic images of patients' internal structures for medical interpretation. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of patients while performing scans, following protocols to capture high-quality images, and collaborating with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic information. You will perform a full range of General Radiology procedures including but not limited to:Portables, fluoroscopy, operating room, trauma, contrast studies and DEXA bone densitometry in a digital/PACS environment. Responsible for operating a variety of x-ray equipment in both a hospital/trauma and outpatient setting.



Responsibilities:


  • Operating Radiographic Equipment - Perform X-rays and other imaging procedures using specialized equipment such as X-ray machines, computed tomography (CT) scanners, and fluoroscopes.


  • Image Quality Assurance - Ensure high-quality images are produced by adjusting equipment settings, positioning patients accurately, and adhering to established protocols.


  • Radiation Safety - Follow strict safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients, themselves, and other staff members. This includes using lead aprons, shields, and collimators as necessary.


  • Collaboration - Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to review images, discuss findings, and ensure accurate diagnoses.


  • Documentation - Maintain accurate patient records, including imaging studies, procedural details, and patient history, in accordance with healthcare regulations and institutional policies.


  • Equipment Maintenance - Perform routine maintenance on radiographic equipment, including calibration and quality control checks, to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards.


  • Patient Care - Provide compassionate care to patients throughout the imaging process, addressing any concerns or questions they may have and ensuring their comfort and well-being.



Qualifications:

- Certification (ARRT)

- Florida State Radiology License (required)

- 1 Year of Experience (preferred)
