Diag Medical Sonographer I - Ultrasonography
SUMMARY: Performs a variety of standard and specialty pediatric and obstetric diagnostic sonographic procedures with accuracy, producing quality studies under a variety of conditions with little supervision. Assists in the identification and resolution of work process issues within the department. Applies the profession's code of ethics in all aspects of practice. Maintains knowledge of, observes, and enforces the safety measures in Environment of Care.
REQUIREMENTS: Thisposition requires a High School Diploma/GED AND a graduate from a formal program in Ultrasonography that meetsthe American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) qualificationsor trained through a Radiologic Technology Program OR a College Degree - 2 year in Medical Sonography (or relatedfield) i.e. successful completion in: ARRT Sonography Board in addition toARDMS Certification in SPI. BLS Basic Life Support is required within 30days of hire or transfer into position. ARDMS - American Reg of Diag MedSonog certification in at least one of the following specialties:
- Abdomen (AB)
- Pediatric Sonography (PS)
- Obstetrics/Gynecology (OBGYN)
- Breast (BR)
- Vascular Technology (VT)
- Nuchal Translucency (NT) or
- Musculoskeletal (MSKS)
Minimum six (6) monthsDiagnostic Medical Sonography (includes clinical rotation during formaltraining) required. Pediatric experience preferred. Bilingualskills preferred
POSTION DETAILS: Full-time, 80 hours per pay period
PAY RANGE: $40.85 - $65.60
