Diabetic Educator will work cooperatively with the multidisciplinary team on curriculum development and teaching materials for educational services to diabetic patients. He/she will explore all options to procure testing monitors, materials and community resources for the un/under insured. Responsible for teaching diabetes education care skills to patients with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes in class and individual sessions. Responsible for maintaining optimal program development, polices, marketing and data outcomes. The educator will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide quality care for patients enrolled in the diabetes program. The Diabetic Educator will acts as a leader, innovator and change agent in the pursuit of improved quality of patient care.

Qualifications:

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

  • Associates degree, required
  • Bachelors degree, preferred
  • Three years’ experience in patient education, required
  • One year experience in diabetic education, required
  • Certified Diabetes Educator, required
  • Registered Dietitian or Registered Nurse in the state of Colorado, required.

Medium Work - exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to
10 lbs. constantly

Pay Range:

$33.55 - $52.16 / hour
