Position Description
Redhorse Corporation is currently seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to join our team to play a major role in the establishment and use of the JAIC's Joint Common Foundation (JCF), a multi-cloud AI development and experimentation platform. The work location for this position is in the National Capital Region (NCR) with up to 25% travel.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities for this position include:
- Provide technical expertise as you influence and partner with fellow engineers, commercial, governmental, and academic partners to architect, design, and deliver infrastructure that can stand the test of scale and availability while reducing operational overhead across DoD.
- Collaborate with security and operational teams to ensure success of security compliance and availability of the platform. Understand the needs of development teams, support the solutioning of abstract problems, and ensure the success of delivering scalable and cutting-edge capabilities.
Minimum Basic Requirements for Skills, Experience, Education and Credentials:
- US citizen with a Secret US government clearance. Applicants who are not US Citizens and who do not have a current and active Secret security clearance will not be considered for this role.
- BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a software developer, solution architect, or infrastructure engineer.
- Experience with DevSecOps principles for designing, developing, and delivering solutions using relevant automation and continuous security monitoring techniques.
- Proven technical experience leveraging public cloud services to architect and build out products in the cloud using tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Experience with data engineering and software defined networking services of Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services. Design and Implementing container (Docker) solutions on Kubernetes or Azure/AWS.
- Background in the DoD SRG Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Background in Agile software development.
Preferred Skills, Experience, Educations and Credentials:
- Understanding of the competitive landscape in enterprise big data and machine learning platforms.
- Be comfortable with hands on work in managing and transferring data and writing applicable code.
- Interest or experience in applying machine learning to resource-constrained or communications-constrained devices.
- Demonstrated success building buy-in for an innovative and bold vision, ability to influence and motivate people across a broad variety of job functions through your relationships.
- Active DoD 8570 Certificate, e.g. Security+, CISSP.
