Job Title: DevOps Software Engineer
Location: Remote role, person will be supporting EST time zone

Duration: 6 months contract on w2 with possible extension

·       Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.

·       Does the role require a specific certification, if so which ones -AWS Certifications of any kind. Kubernetes certified is a plus

Description:
We are seeking a Principal Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our team in Platform Services and Emerging
Technology's Developer Enablement DevRel group. The developer enablement organization's mission within
platform services is to provide developers with the tools, resources, and support they need to build high-quality
applications that meet business requirements. This includes enabling developers to create, test, and deploy software
applications more efficiently and effectively. The DevRel team promotes knowledge sharing and collaboration to
create a community of enabled developers. It empowers developers to take ownership of their work and contribute
to the organization's success.
In this role, you will represent developer needs within the United States by providing technical support, building and
maintaining our developer enablement solutions, and working closely with partner platform teams to ensure the
platform meets their needs.

Responsibilities:
• Provide technical support to developers who are using platform services.
• Assist developers in building and deploying their applications.
• Troubleshoot issues and work with development teams to resolve problems.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure the platform meets their needs.
• Develop and maintain documentation and training materials for the platform.
• Stay up to date with new technologies and trends in the industry.

Requirements:
• Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools such as Jenkins, GitHub
Actions, and Spinnaker.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with observability practices, tooling, and solutions, including Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, and
NewRelic.
• Knowledge of DevOps principles and practices.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems.
Candidates with the following qualifications will be preferred:
• Familiarity with open-source software and communities.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems such as Jira, Trello, and Asana.
• Enjoys speaking at conferences and developer communities.
• Relevant certifications include AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate, AWS Certified DevOps
Engineer, and Certified Kubernetes Application Developer.
