DEVELOPMENT OFFICER – ANNUAL CAMPAIGN MANAGER

About Intermountain: Intermountain is a nationally recognized non-profit providing Hope & Healing to children, youth and families in need of improved mental and behavioral health.

Salary: $50,000 - $70,000

Intermountain is currently hiring for a Development Officer/Annual Campaign Manager in Helena, Montana. This position is responsible for ensuring all annual campaign fundraising efforts are done effectively, timely, and in a way that greatly advances Intermountain’s mission of Healing through Healthy Relationships.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develops, executes and evaluates an annual campaign for all fundraising efforts that are:
    1. strategically prioritized based on interest, capacity, and linkage and lead to new donors, retention of existing donors, and increase in giving levels of active donors
    2. result in an increased number of active donors
  2. Manages the planning, executing and evaluating of the annual campaign including priorities, solicitation strategies, budgetary considerations, timelines and clear staff roles, to achieve fundraising goals.
  3. Develops periodic analysis of data to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the annual campaign efforts and consistently and routinely share results with the Development Team.
  4. Interfaces with the development team to plan, develop, implement and evaluate leadership volunteer efforts to support the annual campaign.
  5. Executes and evaluate effectiveness of a stewardship plan that exceeds industry standards.

This includes but is not limited to:

  1. timely and effective gift acknowledgment
  2. recognition that is proportionate to giving levels
  3. utilization of leadership volunteers to steward donors.
  1. Contributes to the development and maintenance of a positive and cohesive team, which promotes commitment, communication, learning and empowerment within an atmosphere of trust to fulfill their job duties and department goals.
  2. In collaboration with marketing produces newsletters, stewardship letters, gratitude and impact reports, Fine Gold and electronic communication with constituents.
  3. Keeps abreast of changing trends in the professional fundraising field and new funding opportunities available to the organization through regular and ongoing research and interface with program staff
  4. Seeks responsibility and models initiative, cooperation and group problem solving.
  5. Integrates and communicates agency wide information and work processes effectively.
  6. Supervises members of the Development Team to support their specific initiatives.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  1. Manages auction software and credit card processing for special events as needed.
  2. Assists the CDO management and supervision of the Development Department’s strategic plan and processes, including the coordination, integration, and management of department activities and staffing.
  3. Assists the Chief Development Officer in the development and implementation of the budget. Accountable for performance in the achievement of targets.
  4. Works with the Chief Development Officer to develop strategic intent for the friend and fundraising efforts of the organization. Accountable for the performance of achieving goals set.
  5. Conducts campus tours of Intermountain facilities or programs when requested.
  6. When appropriate, coordinates recognition for donors and grantors through Intermountain’s Communications Director.
  1. Oversee Intermountain’s electronic marketing and solicitation program including the creation of electronic newsletters and appeals, the maintenance and revision of the Development Department’s webpages, and the analysis of visitor activity as a result of those efforts.
  2. Performs special projects or duties as assigned and may assume delegated responsibilities in the absence of the CDO.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree, plus two years’ experience in fund raising and public relations.
  2. Experience in the fields of philanthropy and development in nonprofits is preferred.
  3. Must possess a valid Montana driver’s license or REAL ID.
  4. Experience working with Donor Database preferred and Raiser’s Edge or Raiser’s Edge NXT especially preferred.
