As a Developer Programmer Senior, you are responsible for design, develop, test, and implement thoughtful and cost-effective software solutions and applications in support of AmeriHealth Caritas Medicaid/Medicare organization. Develop superior documentation according to established standards. Provide production support by analyzing the existing systems and providing the detailed root cause analysis along with required fix by assessing all the downstream applications.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- At least 4 years of IT experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Four (4) years of SDLC experience.
- Five (5) years of programming experience in MS SQL Server and .Net technologies
- Three (3) years of experience of ETL tools such as SSIS, DataStage.
- Three (3) year of healthcare experience.
- Provides production support. Determines, investigates, and carries out application problem resolutions until the problem is resolved.
- Effectively identifies and escalates issues as appropriate.
- Possesses an understanding of application development methods (e.g. agile, waterfall), as well as the fundamentals of requirements specification, design, development and testing of business applications systems.
- Exhibits an understanding of the detailed technical design, application landscape and IT environment, as well as tools used in development, deployment, and testing.
- Understands the structure and processes of the IT organization, including the roles of IT team members and the information and/or resources they may require.
- Hands on experience within an Agile and/or Waterfall environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Healthcare experience with Medicaid, Medicare and/or Exchange Products is preferred.
- FACETS product experience is preferred.
- Good understanding about the structure and significance of key HIPAA X12 EDI transactions like 834, 835, 837, 270/271, 277CA, etc.
- Knowledge of core administrative systems, software applications, database management systems, and other business-related technologies preferred.
- Unix, Perl & Tidal experience is preferred.
