WHO WE ARE

The Digital Center of Excellence (DCOE) is the organization within Hallmark Technology that is responsible for:

  • Building a world-class, consumer-focused caring platform that enables Hallmark’s lines of business (LOB) across the enterprise (Crayola, Hallmark Media, Hallmark Global) to accelerate their direct-to-consumer product strategies
  • Developing a Cloud-first, multi-tenant digital platform that provides capabilities and services, such as a unified Hallmark Profile, Product Recommendations, Global Payment services, etc.
  • Building, securing, and operating digital consumer products for Hallmark’s LOBs
  • Scaling development capabilities to build for Hallmark’s future

As a member of the DCOE group you'll partner with high functioning, high energy teams of cross-functional disciplines that bring products like Hallmark.com and our Hallmark Gold Crown Omnichannel network to life for our consumers. With a consumer-first focus this group delivers impactful digital solutions that have a direct impact on consumer brand engagement and retention in the digital space, which results in revenue growth and brand relevance.


WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Maintain a disaster recovery plan for all systems to include both a regular backup schedule and tested process for recovery.
  • Create processes that enhance operational workflow and provide positive employee/customer impact.
  • Utilize strong problem solving & troubleshooting skills including ability to perform root cause analysis for any lessons learned and failure patterns amenable to long-term solutions.
  • Build automation and highly redundant systems to avoid phone calls after hours.
  • Act as a technical point of escalation.
  • Develop appropriate metrics to demonstrate performance and improve operational efficiency.
  • Recognize and adopt best practices in documentation, testing, security, operational support at scale, and efficient use of resources.
  • Must be able to support off-hours on-call.
  • Work on small, cross-functional, fast paced teams.
  • Utilize organizational skills and the ability to manage a diversified workload.
  • Communicate & work effectively with all levels of staff including senior management.
  • Work under minimal supervision on complex issues to deliver great results on schedule.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

The following is required to be considered for this role:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years’ professional work experience.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a software development role.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Your application will stand out if you have demonstrated knowledge, experience, or skill in the following:

  • 3+ years’ AWS experience.
  • 1+ year experience with enterprise infrastructure experience.
  • Held a prior role with responsibility for high scalability/availability systems architecture, security, and systems support in a heterogeneous infrastructure environment.
  • 1+ year experience with the following AWS Services: EC2, S3, VPC, Route 53, CloudWatch, AWS Auto Scaling, CloudFormation, CloudTrail, Systems Manager, IAM, Certificate Manager, Key Management Service, and Elastic Container Service or Elastic Kubernetes Service.
  • 1+ yrs. experience with GitLab.
  • 1+ yrs. experience with Terraform.
  • 1+ yrs. experience with Cl/CD tools.
  • 1+ yrs. experience with Shell, Python, and AWS CLI.
  • 1+ yrs. experience with Infrastructure and APM monitoring tools.
  • Adherence to the 5 Pillars of the AWS Well-Architected Framework.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

  • This is a progressive role that will be filled at the level based on the skills and experience of the selected candidate.
  • The salary range for this job is between $82,000 and $130,000. Salary will take into consideration several factors including location
