Job Summary
Provides second level support on desktop, laptop, printers, and peripheral equipment for both Windows and Apple products. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and software while ensuring optimal workstation performance. This position will also troubleshoot problem areas in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end user training as necessary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Answers, evaluates, and prioritizes incoming second-tier telephone, email, and in-person requests pertaining to hardware, software, networking, and other computer related technologies.
- Installs, configures, tests, maintains, monitors, and troubleshoots associated end user workstation hardware/software.
- Assists with installation of LAN/WAN hardware as required for office location projects.
- Performs on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex PC problems and accurately document instances of hardware failure, repair, installation, and removal.
- Acts as escalation point for the Level 1 Service Desk on all issues.
- Supports development and implementation of new computer projects and new hardware installations including hardware refreshes, new hire setups, and testing of new configurations.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 - 3 years of relevant experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications
- Mac/JAMF experience
- Associate's degree in computer science or related field
