Job Summary:

Design Engineers and Design Specialists develop sophisticated industrial automation, plant control, database and data communication applications, using state-of-the-art software, across a wide range of industries.Our four major target markets are Oil & Gas, Food & Beverage, Power, and Process Chemical.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

The main function of these two positions is the development of PLC/PAC (Programmable Logic Controller/Programmable Automation Controller) based control and HMI/SCADA (Human Machine Interface/Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition Systems) visualization applications.These applications are developed in a multitude of proprietary programming languages designed by vendor companies including GE, Rockwell Automation, Siemens, Schneider, Wonderware, Invensys to name a few. Additional experience in other programming languages such as Microsoft Visual Basic, C++/C#, Microsoft SQL Server is very beneficial and will be utilized by most engineers in the EN Engineering Automation groups.

These individuals will work on a project from the beginning to the end of the project; which means the design, development, in-house testing, and commissioning of the system at the customers location are performed by the same individual.Specialized training will be provided to enhance their skill set for the clients they are assigned to and the platforms they will be using.Each Design Engineer/Specialist will be assigned a mentor to assist him or her.The mentor will be a senior level person that has been chosen due to their experience and training capabilities.

Required Qualifications:

An engineering degree from an institution with an ABET accredited engineering program, an engineering technology degree or a degree in computer science.

Strong documentation and client communication skills

A complete operational understanding of current Microsoft Windows and Office products is required.

Enthusiasm to be a part of the team and open to learn new skills.

Strong interpersonal communication skills.

Unquestioned business and personal integrity.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

The ability to travel to customer locations, including international travel, for as long as three weeks at a time is also possible but is very rare.Typical travel schedules are one to two weeks.Travel in this position can range from 25-40%.
