Electrical Design Technician

Summary: Seeking an Electrical Design Technician to design Life Safety Systems, utilizing AutoCAD and Revit MEP for advanced facility projects.

Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent

• At least 3-5 years' experience with AutoCAD (Revit experience preferred)

• Experience in systems design with Fire Alarm Systems, Voice Evacuation, Gas Detection, VESDA, Access Control, CCTV

• NICET Level II certification

• Knowledge of IFC, IBC, NFPA 70, NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, and NFPA 72 Fire Alarm and Signaling Code

• Familiarity with Fire/Life Safety systems and equipment from various manufacturers

• Industrial design experience

Responsibilities:

• Draft and design Life Safety and Security Systems for semiconductor manufacturing, data center facilities, etc.

• Deliver complex packages in coordination with engineers and design leads

• Create 3D model space using AutoCAD and Revit MEP in collaboration with architects and engineers

• Design Fire Alarm Detection Systems, HPM leak detection, Toxic Gas Management Systems, Security and Intrusion detection systems

• Perform calculations applying NFPA codes and standards to model content; specify equipment as directed by engineering staff

Pay: 28-37

Pay Details: $28.00 to $37.00 per hour
