Overview
Provide Design Management services as an Owner's Representative for a major multi-year project in Dublin, CA. Responsibilities include overview of drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements for a large Justice/Detention project.
Responsibilities
- Act as an Owner's Representative with direct client facing responsibilities
- Simultaneously manage multiple projects across a large multi building campus sites
- Manages and supervises a team of design professionals and other professionals through the design review process
- Perform quality review, implementation of policy and procedures and interface and coordinates with the State
- Oversight of contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications to ensure compliance to project requirements
- Responsible for quality control and assurance of projects in design and in construction
- Manage project controls, cost, schedule, performance activities, and procedures required by the client
- Conduct project meetings and provide documentation, administration, and tracking of relevant information. Ensure contractor, architect, engineer, will adhere to contractual requirements on areas of safety, performance, project staff, and equipment
- Provide management of project logistics, organization, and safety
- Ensure project closeout to obtain guarantees, warranties, and related provisions for final project delivery to the owner
Requirements
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is required
- 10 years of related work experience in project/construction management or administration is required
- LEED Professional Accreditation is preferred
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong Proficiency with the Microsoft Project Suite of tools is required
- User knowledge of Bluebeam and Procore are preferred
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the advanced ability to foster and maintain effective interpersonal relationships is required
- Ability to provide leadership and management support to a project team is required
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office environment and frequently works in a construction environment. Conditions occasionally include exposure to outdoor elements, hot/cold temperatures, wet conditions, noise, atmospheric conditions, and cramped quarters. The noise level in the work environment is regularly moderate and occasionally loud.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the position is moderately active and the employee is required to regularly sit, talk or hear and use hands to finger, feel and handle; frequently stand, walk and reach with hands and arms; occasionally climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must frequently lift and or move 5 pounds and occasionally lift and or move up to 20 pounds.

This position is site based at the project location in Dublin, CA.
