- Job Description: The Design Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the design and development of Facades and Building Envelope Systems for various projects. This includes curtain-wall systems, impact windows, railings, skylights, metal panels, and entrances.
- Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with architects and project managers to understand project requirements and constraints.
- Design and engineer facade systems that meet industry standards and project specifications.
- Produce detailed drawings, specifications, and calculations for fabrication and installation.
- Conduct performance and structural analysis of facade systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source materials and components for projects.
- Provide technical support during the fabrication, installation, and testing phases of projects.
- Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software.
- Strong understanding of building codes and regulations related to Facades and Building Envelope Systems.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in facade design and engineering.
- Experience working with curtain-wall systems, impact windows, and other facade components.
- Previous experience in the construction or architectural industry.
