Position Summary:
This position works with the BSA Officer to administer oversight for BSA/AML programs in accordance with Third Coast Bank’s policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.

- Developing and performing functions related to the Bank’s BSA/AML Program, OFAC Program and CIP Program while maintaining confidentiality of Bank and customer information.
- Addressing regulatory changes that impact the Bank.
- Working closely with the BSA Officer to ensure deadlines are met.
- Will serve as a point of contact when the BSA Officer is out of the office.
- Working closely with the BSA/AML Governance to correct/re-train staff when necessary.
- Reviewing and investigating CTRs, wire activity, monetary instrument logs and alerts for possible SAR filings.
- Reviewing daily, weekly, and monthly reports for accuracy.
- Processing and/or reviewing 314a requests.
- Functioning as a key contributor of BSA/AML knowledge for the Bank.
- Monitoring periodic reviews are completed in a timely manner.
- Responsible for reporting any unusual or suspicious activity by customers or employees.
- Reporting of monthly goal expectations for analysts.
- Overseeing and serving as a secondary point of contact for internal/external audits and state/federal examinations and a point of contact for Bank personnel.
- Overseeing and assisting in special department projects.
- Completing annual trainings and staying current on changing regulations.
Any additional duties assigned.
Education and Experience:
- 4 year minimum of prior BSA experience or banking experience required.
- 2 year minimum of leadership or management experience required.
- Knowledge of BSA/AML, OFAC, and CIP with ability to apply and explain the regulatory concepts required.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher a plus.
- CAMS Certification or equivalent a plus.
- Additional bank certifications a plus.
- Basic knowledge of Bank products and services.
- Adherence and application with controls and standards.
- Result–oriented with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Effective planning and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal/written communication skills, analytical skills and time management skills.
- Able to work independently as well as with others.
- Experience with Jack Henry, Mantl, Alloy, Socure, Unit 21 and Treasury Prime products a plus.
- Current driver’s license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage if required to drive in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities.
