Job Description
The Deposit Operations Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Deposit Operations department and ensuring that the policies and procedures of the bank comply with the appropriate laws and regulations. Responsible for the leading and supervising the Deposit Operations team, creating, and updating policies, procedures, and workflows. Work alongside others within the bank to enhance products and service levels. Establish goals, assign accountabilities, and set priorities. Provide employee development and training, as well as evaluate the performance of team members. Must be able to delegate tasks, but also “roll up your sleeves” to ensure that the job and work gets done. Due to the supervisory nature of this role, the manager will need to be onsite in Franklin, NC (i.e., this is not a remote or hybrid position).
Major Duties, Responsibilities, Activities:
- Oversee the daily operations and functions of the Deposit Operations Department.
- Manage employees within the deposit operation department.
- Develop and implement plans to support strategic objectives.
- Ensure controls, policies, and procedures are established and comply with all state and federal rules, regulations, and banking laws.
- Coordinate activities with others to ensure compliance with BSA/OFAC/USA Patriot Act.
- Proactively resolve Deposit Operations issues and act as a resource for branch personnel regarding new account opening.
- Prepare accurate and complete reports on Deposit Operations metrics and provide them regularly to Senior Management.
- Balance and Review reports for accuracy, reconciliation.
- Train and or assist in training of new Deposit Operations Associates.
- Represent the Deposit Operations Department throughout the bank in meetings and projects with other department managers, manage special projects, and intercede, as necessary, with staff and internal/external customers to resolve problems.
- Train and/or update retail staff on new or changing products.
- Assist co-workers and customers with retail and business online banking issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
