This position develops business rules and processes that effectively and efficiently implement program policies within the Child Support Program specialization area of Financials. As the senior business analyst, this position serves as a financials expert and is routinely assigned the most complex analytical and writing assignments and advises other Financial Team members on the implementation and application of policies, procedures, rules and regulations, and work methods for developing effective business practices. This position is the primary link between policy/program development teams and Department of Technology Management and Budget (DTMB) technical staff responsible for automated system development and other supportive technology development. this position translates program policies and plans into business processes and detailed workflows incorporating user needs and requirements for use by information technology staff. This position has direct impact on the collection and distribution business practices of all Friend of the Court (FOC) and Prosecuting Attorney's (PA). This position monitors and evaluates local business practices to identify best practices, recommend new approaches and strategies to improve financial/payment management outcomes, and to identify diverse local practices that do not comply with or maximize financial/payment program component outcomes.

Education
Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
Experience
Three years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the experienced (P11) level in state service.

The physical location of this position is 111 S. Capitol Avenue, Lansing, Michigan, 48933. Based on operational needs and within established limits, remote work and alternate or hybrid work schedule requests for this position may be considered.

Selected candidates who have been approved to work remotely or a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview.
Employees will be provided computers to perform state work. Phones may also be provided for necessary communications. If working remotely, employees will be responsible for providing other components of a remote office at their own expense, including:
o A secure work location that allows privacy and prevents distractions.
o A high-speed internet connection of at least 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.
o Suitable lighting, furniture, and utilities.
