Candidates should be eager to join a multi-disciplinary team of providers, collaborating to provide an individualized treatment approach that recognizes each child's individual needs and personality. Ideal candidate will be interested in developing their leadership and management skills.
Our Physical TherapyDepartment Lead Day to Day:
- Leads location department meetings and as needed team meetings. Actively participates in all staff meetings and team leads meetings as needed.
- Interviews candidates for open positions within their disciplines and collaborates with Clinic Director in the selection of new hires.
- Supports new hire onboarding through mentorship and supervision.
- Serves as a liaison between therapists within location's department and scheduling team regarding individual therapist scheduling needs, department productivity, and as needed.
- Collaborates with Clinic Director and Human Resources to complete annual performance reviews and performance check-ins for therapists within their location's department.
- Monitors department therapist daily documentation requirements and report issues with Clinic Director.
- Maintains a small caseload of individual therapy sessions, small group sessions and daily case management tasks.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with clients and families by providing parent education, home programs, and parent support as needed.
Our Physical Therapists Focus on the Following Interventions:
- Early Motor Development such as crawling, walking, jumping, stair climbing, e.g.
- Orthotic Assessment, Intervention and Management
- Posture control during feeding and other activities of daily living
- Pelvic floor and other motor control issues related to toilet training
- Family and Team Collaboration and Education

Education Requirements
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy or PTAs with pediatric experience preferred
- Licensed Physical Therapist or Physical Therapy Assistant
- 3-5 years experience working with children or clients with special needs is a plus
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The working environment may at times be busy with small groups of children and individual sessions with children while other clients/therapists are present. Physical requirements include:
- Ability to lift at least 35 lbs, including but not limited to lifting children, therapy equipment etc.
- Ability to walk and/or run if needed to keep clients safe.
- Ability to implement behavior management techniques, based on training provided by the company.
- Ability to use hands and arms to prepare and perform required therapy tasks.
- Ability to utilize keyboard, desktop, and ipad to complete documentation required for funders.

Our collaborative team provides occupational, physical, speech, developmental, ABA, and other therapies to help our clients reach their unique goals. We have three locations throughout Chicago-land.
