We are looking for a determined, high energy, well-organized individual to increase our operational efficiency as an Operations Manager at our Dental Laboratory in Sandy, Utah. Our Company has the following to offer: Excellent compensation plan with benefits including medical, dental, life insurance, short/long term disability, 401(k), vacation and holidays Flexible working hours Career advancement opportunities Investments in the latest technology Exclusively focused in cosmetic, implant and digital design for fixed prosthodontics Responsibilities: Lead, motivate, and support a large team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment, including setup and implementation of career development plans for all direct reports and problem resolution Manage timely data collection to update operations metrics to achieve productivity targets, reduce cost per unit, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service Act as liaison between the customer, dental center, and the lab’s production and logistics teams Visit with clients at their practice or in our office to discuss case issues, assist with chairside prosthetic delivery to the patient, or determine a solution to case problems--i.e. seating problems, custom shades, etc. Partner with cross-functional support teams in improving the proprietary tools and systems Work closely with legal and safety departments to make sure activities remain compliant Oversee materials and inventory management Conduct budget reviews and report cost plans to upper management Maintain constant communication with management, staff, and vendors to ensure proper operations of the organization Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols Grow the efficiency of existing organizational processes and procedures to enhance and sustain the organization’s internal capacity Ensure operational activities remain on time and within a defined budget Track staffing requirements, hiring new employees as needed Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable departments Assist in quality control of incoming production cases prior to delivery to the client and make slight adjustments as needed to correct case issues All other duties as assigned or as otherwise required Qualifications: Degree in operations management, business administration, or related field Must have a working, practical knowledge in all product areas of the Dental Lab industry--including crown and bridge, digital workflows, dentures and dental implants. 2+ years’ proven experience in an operations management position Strong budget development and oversight skills Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of branch operations and customer service Highly trained in conflict management and business negotiation processes Knowledge of general business software and aptitude to learn new applications; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) *All new hires will be required to pass our standard employee background check* MicroDental Laboratories and Modern Dental Laboratory USA are proud to be an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
