We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our team.
Schedule would be every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 8-5pm. Tuesday 8-2pm.
As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your main responsibility will be to perform dental cleanings and assist the dentist in various procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of dental anatomy, infection control protocols, and medical documentation.
```Responsibilities```
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Conduct oral cancer screenings
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques
- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing instruments and maintaining a sterile field
- Document patient treatment plans and progress notes in electronic medical records (EMR) system
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Follow infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient records
```Requirements```
- Valid Dental Hygiene license in [state]
- Associate's degree or higher in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and oral health conditions
- Proficiency in medical documentation and Dentrix software.
- Familiarity with dental imaging techniques and equipment
- Excellent communication skills to educate patients on oral hygiene practices
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals
- Knowledge of medical coding for insurance billing purposes is preferred
- Prior experience as a Dental Assistant is a plus
