Mission Dental is a 5-star, 200+ Review office looking for a TEAM PLAYER who is EAGER TO LEARN and be a part of an amazing dental home!
We are PATIENT-CENTERED, not volume-centered! That means you'll get 1 hour for every recall visit, or 1.5 for 2 quads of SRP.

FLEXIBLE, PART-TIME HOURS

Looking for 2 DAYS A WEEK for now

WE ARE GROWING and looking for an additional hygienist who can help us out as we add days based on patient demand.
Very flexible arrangement; we can work around your schedule.
Want to pick up 1-2 days/month? Great! TUESDAYS & THURSDAYS ( for now)
Want to work 1 day/week? Great!
*No Saturday or Sunday hours

State of the art equipment and systems include digital scanner (Itero), digital radiographs, CBCT, Diagnodent.
NO impressions, NO film!
Our hygienists are equipped with new Hu-Friedy hand scaling instruments and Cavitrons.
If there's something special you want to bring in and can support it with literature, we are open to it.
You will NOT be forced to diagnose and perform SRPs that aren't medically necessary.

Proven experience as Dental Hygienist or similar role
In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA)
Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
Outstanding communication skills
A patient and friendly personality
Attention to detail
Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job
Very comfortable with the computer
GENTLE hand skills
Very proficient with digital x-rays including capture of apices, open contacts
Open dental software experience
EXPECTATIONS:
Team up with Dr. to co-diagnose treatment patients need
Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination
Sterilize dental instruments properly
Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis
Clean and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride)
Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques and recommending home care interventions)
Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures
Take X-rays and Digital Scans
Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer)
Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
Monitor supplies
SALARY:
$58/hour+ commensurate with experience. You will also be eligible for production bonuses and benefits.
