Dental Assistant/Receptionist

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and organized Dental assistant to join our busy practice to help out with front office duties, as well as be an assistant to one of our 2 dentists when needed. We are a small office of 8 people, including 2 DDS, 3 RDH, and 3 RDA's.

You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and patient care as well as providing administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our dental office. This is a full-time position.

Duties of dental assisting as well as
- Greet and welcome patients as they arrive at the dental office
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and friendly manner
- Schedule appointments for patients using Dentrix, and calling pts on our waiting lists to schedule when cancelations occur.
- Verify patient insurance coverage and assist with insurance billing processes
- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out procedures
- Collect payments from patients and provide receipts
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure efficient patient flow
- Manage the front desk area, including keeping it clean and organized

Skills:
- Proficiency in dental office management software systems such aa Dentrix
- Knowledge of medical terminology and dental procedures
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role is preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with phone systems and ability to handle multiple phone lines
