- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Perform dental charting and assist with medical coding
- Utilize electronic health record systems such as Dentrix
- Follow strict aseptic techniques to ensure infection control
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
```Requirements```
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Dental Assistant training program or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
- Proficiency in taking dental x-rays and maintaining accurate records
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Dentrix
- Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic anatomy
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
