The Role: As a Dental Assistant, you will be an integral part of our patient care experience. This role involves chair-side assistance during dental procedures, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and supporting various administrative tasks. Flexibility to assist with reception duties is also key. Your role will evolve alongside our practice, with potential to transition into a full-time position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide chair-side assistance during dental procedures, including handling tools and taking diagnostic x-rays.
- Prepare and clean treatment areas before and after procedures.
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments.
- Manage dental supply inventory.
- Offer a warm and friendly welcome to all patients and their families.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling phone calls.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant.
- Reliable transportation for punctual attendance.
- Eagerness to learn and grow with the practice.
- Team player with a self-motivated attitude.
- Familiarity with patient management and dental software.
- High school diploma.
- Willingness to undertake training and CE courses.
- Delaware state X-ray certification & CPR Certification (or willingness to acquire promptly).
Preferred
- Experience with Open Dental software
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Compensation $17 to $23 per hour based on experience
