Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented EFDA/EDDA to join our dental team. As an EFDA/EDDA, you will play a vital role in assisting our dentists in delivering excellent dental care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include preparing patients for treatment, sterilizing instruments, charting dental conditions, and providing chairside assistance during procedures.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited EFDA/EDDAprogram
- Active EFDA/EDDA certification
- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques, including four-handed dentistry
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of dental software systems is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
- Chart dental conditions and take patient X-rays as directed by the dentist
- Assist dentists during procedures by providing chairside support
- Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care
- Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout dental treatments
- Perform dental office administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records
- Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient satisfaction and overall practice efficiency
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Stay updated on industry advancements and maintain continuing education requirements
