We are hiring a part-time Dental Assistant - 3days/week.
Assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.- Explaining office procedures before treatment to patients.
- Providing quality and compassionate care to every patient before, during and after dental treatment.
- Patient management during dental procedures..
- Dental charting of patient's pre-existing and accurate inputting of patient progress notes.
- Providing patients with post-op instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures, such as the placement of a restoration (filling).
- Taking impressions of patients' teeth for study casts (models of teeth).
- Preparing and maintaining dental instruments, supplies and equipment.
- Taking and developing x-rays, collecting and recording patient health histories.
- Serving as an infection control officer, developing infection control protocol and preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
- Monitor equipment and hand piece repairs for all operatory equipment, accurate completion and follow up of repair logs.
- Completion of daily/weekly/monthly tasks including autoclave testing and cleaning of traps.
- Assisting with monthly supply order.
- Assisting clinic with recall and treatment plan reports, when requested.
- Responsible for adhering to all government and company regulations.
- Helping to provide direct patient care in all dental specialties including orthodontics, pediatric dentistry, and oral surgery.
