Job Details
- Full-time (4-5 days per week).
- Hours of Operation: Patients seen Mon-Fri from 8am-5pm. Office staff start between 7:15-7:45 am and leave after the last patient. Administrative staff alternate between opening and closing duties
Job Description
- As a Recall/Hygiene Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental hygiene department as well as sustaining continuity of care for our established patients. You will be responsible for managing the schedule of our dental hygienists, coordinating patient appointments, and providing outstanding customer service to our patients. Additionally, you will assist with administrative tasks such as maintaining patient records, processing payments, and managing patient check-out.
Shared Admin Responsibilities
- Open/Close Office
- Welcome patients in the dental office
- Receive phone calls
- Check-in/check-out patients
- Scheduling
- Verify Insurance
- Maintain reception areas
- Maintain HIPAA compliance
- Process Payments
Job Responsibilities
- Schedule and confirm dental hygiene appointments for patients. Fill openings as they occur
- Manage hygiene provider schedule
- Confirm appointments
- Follow-up with overdue or unscheduled patients
- Maintain accurate patient records and update information as necessary
- Assess accuracy of continuing care
- Assist with other administrative tasks as assigned
- Contribute to building efficient systems within your role
Skill Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in dental assisting or office administration is preferred
- Proven experience working in a dental office setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Dentrix software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and patient care
- Understanding of dental terminology and CDT codes
- Understanding and ability to follow HIPAA guidelines
