Dental Access Representative III

Join our dynamic team at the University of Rochester Medical Center as a Dental Access Rep III! We're looking for dedicated individuals who are passionate about patient care and customer service.

Hours: 8 AM - 5:30 PM; some weekends

Responsibilities:

• Welcome and assist patients, ensuring a positive experience from start to finish
• Verify patient identification and ensure accuracy of patient information
• Assess and address patients' special needs, such as interpreters, to ensure comprehensive care
• Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
• Collect and accurately record patient demographic and financial information
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints, utilizing service recovery concepts
• Schedule appointments and coordinate ancillary services for patients
• Manage insurance preauthorization and verification processes
• Process patient payments and reconcile end-of-day deposits

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required and 1 year of administrative or customer service experience
• Medical terminology knowledge is a plus
• Strong computer skills, including word processing and data entry
• Demonstrated ability to achieve customer satisfaction

Pay Range: $18.16 - $24.52 Hourly
