Title: Demolition Laborer /Warehouse

Position Summary:
This position will be responsible for preparing site locations for demolition. Assist in setting up plywood to protect surrounding buildings, driveways, and sidewalks. This position is responsible for separating metals into different salvage groups. This position will assist in the cleanup of the area. This position will assist with the capping of sewers. This position will be responsible to utilize different pieces of equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Must follow all safety procedures. Please call Ed at 502-419-9097.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- To follow supervisor’s directions.
- To prepare for demolitions.
- To identify copper, steel, aluminum, brass, and other metals being delivered to the warehouse.
- Separate different metals into different salvage groups.
- To direct traffic when applicable.
- To carefully hook up water meters and hoses to fire hydrants.
- To spray water on the property that is being demolished to reduce dust.
- Must be able to use grinders, circular saws, concrete saws, chain saws, and other handheld tools.
- Regularly reporting project status of daily projects.
- Maintain a clean and safe demolishing site.
- Additional duties and responsibilities will be assigned.
- Work in warehouse when applicable.
Recommended Education/Experience:
- Dependable
· Must be safety conscious.
· Demolishing experience a plus.
· Must be willing to learn.
· Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
· Good oral communication skills.
· Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized.
· Good organizational skills.
· Ability to maintain safety standards in all situations.
· Must possess an ability to maintain a level of physical fitness to withstand any situation the job may present that is physically challenging.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
