An exciting new Demand/Supply Planner just opened up in the Edison area. As a Demand and Supply Planner, you will play a crucial role in managing our enterprise forecasting platform to support the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S& OP) cycle. Your primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Backup Support: Serve as a backup for the Sales Operations Manager, handling tasks such as order processing, customer invoicing, and reviewing EDI transactions.
  • KPI Tracking: Own and monitor forecast accuracy, fulfillment, and inventory management Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Drive continuous improvement in sales and operations planning processes.
  • Procurement and Production Support: Utilize ERP's MRP module to provide visibility into materials requirements. Place and manage purchase orders to ensure timely supply across all spending categories.
  • Communication and Coordination: Maintain clear and timely communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Coordinate closely with finance, sales, and marketing to align business strategy with operations.
  • Forecast Management: Analyze and maintain demand forecasts, ensuring accuracy and reliability. Conduct ongoing analysis to determine inventory replenishment requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to maintain a detailed forecasting database and hierarchy. Facilitate clear communication and alignment between internal stakeholders.
  • Operational Process Improvement: Support overall operations activities and promote initiatives aimed at improving operational processes.


The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3+ years of planning experience, including demand/supply planning and inventory management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or Supply Chain Management preferred.
  • Advanced user experience with analysis software/tools (e.g., MS Excel, MS Access, SQL).
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, MRP systems) is a strong plus.
  • Superior quantitative and analytical skills with strong critical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
