What you will be doing
The Demand Planner (forecasting & analysis) manages statistical, promotional, and total forecasts to drive retail in stock conditions and optimized inventory levels. The Planner determines causal factors impacting forecasts and actuals including weather, moving seasons, etc. The Demand Planner Owns/adjusts/optimizes the promotional lift as well as the instruments that continue lift generation.
The position will either be based in Boise, ID or one of our main regional offices (Seattle, WA, Portland, OR, Denver, CO, Dallas, TX, Chicago, IL, Boston, MA, Malvern, PA, Fullerton, CA, Pleasanton, CA Phoenix, AZ).
Main responsibilities
- Recognizes and reconciles JDA (Blue Yonder) forecast exceptions and tunes forecasts as needed.
- Tracks actuals against forecast & reviews forecast accuracy (base and promo) and tunes forecast as needed.
- Reviews demand history for outliers and develop recommendations and manage JDA/BY settings related to outliers.
- Manages new demand forecasting units and new product introduction processes.
- Maintains key metrics against goals for forecast accuracy and performance reports.
The salary range is $54,600 to $ 74,040 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates. What we are searching for
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, finance, mathematics, business, or related field OR 0-10+ years of progressive relevant data management experience. Grocery Retail or Food & Beverage industry experience preferred.
- Preferred knowledge and experience in Blue Yonder JDA/BY Demand & Fulfillment.
- Drives results through developing solutions.
- Core strength in forecasting concepts, principles, and best practices.
- Travel requirements: Up to 25%
