Job Description

Demand and Supply Planning Specialist 

  1. Demand Planning:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze historical sales data, market trends, and customer forecasts to develop accurate demand plans.
    • Utilize forecasting tools and methodologies to generate demand forecasts, taking into consideration seasonality, promotions, and market dynamics.
    • Monitor and evaluate the accuracy of demand forecasts, making adjustments as necessary to optimize inventory levels and minimize stockouts or excess inventory.
  2. Supply Planning:
    • Work closely with Regions and global production teams to develop procurement plans aligned with demand forecasts, ensuring efficient resource utilization and timely product availability.
    • Coordinate with Procurement to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components to support production schedules.
    • Work together with the global production team to optimize production plans to balance workload, minimize lead times, and maximize efficiency.
    • Implement inventory control strategies to maintain optimal stock levels, balancing the cost of carrying inventory with the risk of stockouts.
  3. Forecasting and Data Analysis
    • Implement and refine forecasting models and tools to enhance accuracy and reliability of predictions.
    • Evaluate and enhance planning processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, and responsiveness.
    • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to incorporate market intelligence into forecasting processes.
    • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as forecast accuracy, material utilization, yard inventory development
    • Utilize advanced analytics to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for process improvement.
    • Provide insights into the factors influencing Demand and Supply variations.
  4. Risk Management:
    • Identify and assess potential risks in the supply chain, including geopolitical events, natural disasters, and supplier disruptions.
    • Develop contingency plans and risk mitigation strategies to address potential challenges.
    • Monitor external factors that may impact the supply chain and adjust plans accordingly.
  5. Collaboration and Communication:
    • Foster strong collaboration with sales, marketing, production, and logistics teams to ensure alignment of plans with overall business objectives.
    • Collaborate with logistics and distribution teams to optimize transportation and warehousing strategies.
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide visibility into Demand and production plans, and address any potential issues or opportunities.
  6. Performance Analysis and Reporting:
    • Regularly monitor key performance indicators related to Demand and production planning, and analyze variances to identify areas for improvement.
    • Generate and present reports on demand forecasts, production plans, and inventory levels to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
